Manager

Maike is a nursery school teacher. She grew up and lived near the Netherlands and has worked the last five years in a big nursery. She is a certified “Elternbegleiterin” which helps her better understand cultures, members and structures. Maike loves to see how the children grow up so individually and to accompany them on their way to school. She’s a fan of free play seeing how the children develop creativity and individuality and how they’re making friends and relationships.

Deputy Manager

Sarah grew up in a village near Frankfurt in Germany. In 2023 she finished her degree in educational science and also worked in an evangelican nursery with children aged 3-6 years. She enjoys reading with the children and doing arts and crafts with the children. It is important to her to create an environment where the children can be themselves and can develop at their own pace.

Zhala graduated from Azerbaijan University of Languages. She moved to Germany for three years where she was an Au-Pair and volunteer in an international kindergarten and worked as a language teacher with young refugees in Jena, Germany. She has worked as a subject teacher at a private secondary school in Azerbaijan. Zhala's main goal is to help children enjoy their learning process. and to explore and develop their creativity.

Malte finished his Nursery Teacher training at the Kaiserswerther-Diakonie Düsseldorf in 2016 and moved to the UK for his last placement in a school in Brighton. Since then, he has been in the UK working with Babies, Toddlers and children with a variety of needs.

Malte is passionate about supporting children explore the world through music and art with a focus on the child’s own interests and needs. He likes helping children find joy in their play and believes it can accelerate the growth of their confidence.

Mattea grew up in Nuremberg, where she attended a Waldorf school. She complete her studies as a speech and language therapist at Heidelberg University Hospital. Studying interprofessional healthcare she worked in a speech therapy centre for four years. There she specialised in the area of children's language, developing language through play. She attaches great importance to promoting interaction through language during free play, reading, storytelling and singing songs. Mattea believes it is important to provide an appreciative and loving environment that takes the children's needs into account.

Merle is a nursery teacher from the north Germany. She has worked in different childcare settings: Waldorfkindergarten, with Pikler and Fröbel pedagogy, as an au-pair and nanny and with deaf children in Germany and the UK. She is a huge supporter of free play and naturally paced motor development. This approach, combined with close observation of every child, gives her the chance to offer useful toys or materials and create stimulating activities to foster their learning. Her favourite part of childcare are when children discover a new aspect of the world, themselves or new skills and she gets to share their sense of wonder and excitement.

In 2020, Nafisa volunteered at an afterschool club for children with special needs, marking her first experience in childcare and sparking her interest in working with children. During this time, she also began training as a chef at a vegan restaurant while working part-time as a nanny. This combination of roles inspired her to focus on food and nutrition, often planning cooking activities to do with the children.

While continuing her nanny work, she joined the kitchen team at The German Kindergarten (Kinder Kitchen), where she assisted in lunch preparation. This role eventually led to a position as a teaching assistant at The German Kindergarten Herne Hill in late 2022. Alongside this, she continued nannying and babysitting children ranging in age from 18 months to 11 years old.

She is currently pursuing a Level 3 Early Years qualification, which she is set to complete in August 2025.

I am from South East London. I have a BA Honours degree in Childhood Studies (with SEND specialism). I love working with children and I have extensive experience working in London schools and nurseries, including specialist settings. I am passionate about supporting children to achieve their best and having the best time while they do so! 

I love doing arts and crafts with the children, singing and reading with them, and I enjoy their sense of fun and wonder. I also see the importance of supporting early communication and creating an inclusive space where children can be the unique individuals they are

Tasleem grew up in Frankfurt (Germany). She is currently training to become a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner. She is a kind nursery teacher who enjoys working with young children and tries to make learning fun and exciting by encouraging them to explore and be curious. Her goals are to ensure that the Little Explorers' first educational experiences are filled with joy, wonder, and a sense of accomplishment, laying a strong foundation for their lifelong learning. She likes to go on outings with children and to development and enhance children’s skills and knowledge. She enjoys activities that are fun and educational to foster fine motor skills such as exploring and preparing (new) foods, baking, or arts and crafts and develop early math's and language skills.

Maquela grew up in a small village in Lower Saxony, Germany. She first moved to the UK in 2012 and has worked for bilingual families over several years. She has a degree in Performing Arts and is a trained Teaching Assistant. She is currently in the process of completing her Level 3 in Childcare. Maquela encourages children to grow at their own pace through play and a mindful relationship with nature.
